The three day Polish language weekend includes approximately 8 hours of survival level basic Polish language instruction with an experienced Polish language instructor and activities designed to help you practice your Polish in practical and fun everyday and not so everyday situations. The Polish language weekend also includes fully guided tours of the old town of Krakow and a trip to the world famous UNESCO protected Wieliczka salt mines.
POLISH LANGUAGE WEEKEND ACTIVITIES:
After arrival on Thursday you will spend two hours being introduced to the basics of Polish, including: basic Polish grammatical rules, key Polish phrases and pronounciation. In the evening you'll be taken on a introductory guided walk around the old town of Krakow and then to a well known local restaurant for a delicious Polish dinner, including 3 courses, wine or beer, dessert and tea/coffee.
On both Friday and Saturday, after breakfeast (your choice of Polish, Continental or English) you will spend 3 hours each day enjoying a series of practical Polish language lessons on the old town with your Polish instructor and guide. We'll start you off gently with a walk around the old town of Krakow, learning the names of various important historical places and practicing Polish whilst ordering a coffee or beer or perhaps asking directions from a kindly looking local. Together with a basic Polish phrase book, maps and with your own Polish language guide, you will explore the wonders of historic Krakow. Friday evening will include a full dinner in the centre of Krakow's medieval old town, including 3 courses, wine or beer, dessert and tea/coffee.
After your Saturday morning Polish language lesson, you will visit the UNESCO protected Wieliczka salt mines (with an English speaking tour guide) and on your return will continue with tours of Krakow and and evening dinner. Saturday evening includes a dinner on the town, including 3 courses, wine or beer, dessert and tea/coffee.
On Sunday, after breakfast by Krakow's old town market square or "Rynek", you will have the morning at leisure before your transfer in time for your trip home.
