Our Polish language program is one of the most innovative in Krakow. Each of our 2-week courses includes over 50 lesson periods of Polish language instruction (each lesson period is approx 45 mins). Students will benefit from intensive Polish language study focusing on Polish vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing and conversation, as well as practicals, tutorials and lectures on Polish culture. Our Polish language courses also include a fully guided Krakow tourist and culture program. Our Polish courses are open to anyone aged 16 and over. Speakers of all languages are invited to attend.

Polish Language School Building in Krakow (Cracow)

Our language programs encompass all levels of Polish, including: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Native Speaker. Students will be properly grouped based on the results of a written placement test and oral language interview.

In addition to the core 50 periods of Polish language instruction, students will also have several consulatation hours available to them, during which they may reach our instructors for extra assistance. For the more ambitious, we also offer an additional Super-Intensive Language Option, comprising an additional 25 hours of individualized Polish language attention (see our Course Calendar for more information). These 25 hours may be taken privately or semi-privately.

One of the greatest benefits of our Polish language program is that we offer smaller class sizes, thus ensuring appropriate individual attention, as well as a more rewarding personal experience with a more intimate social bond being formed between the students. Indeed, it is not only our hope that you leave our courses with a newly instilled knowledge of Polish and appreciatieon of Polish culture, but that you also meet interesting people, make new friends and have fun along the way. Polish class sizes will be approximately 8-12 students. Please note that we do our best to place our students in groups at the correct Polish level and therefore it does occur that students will find themselves in smaller groups. With group sizes under 8, the number of daily Polish lessons may be reduced from 5 to 4 language instruction hours.

We realise that learning the Polish language has its difficulties. We will do our best to make it easier and more enjoyable. Our program encompasses a gradual upgrading of language skills. Starting from the most needed basic communicative situations, you will then gradually begin to master the Polish language.

We believe that even the best teaching methods and programs need to be supported with fully qualified and experienced teacher. Classes are held in a communicative method which means that the Polish language is used almost exclusively. Our Polish language program focuses on intensive classroom instruction of reading, writing, oral communication, grammar and vocabulary. All of our Polish instructors are fluent in languages besides Polish (English, German, etc).

To learn a language, one must interact with the people and the culture of that language. Thus, our students will be immersed in city life with the help of qualified instructors who will be on hand to teach, correct and encourage the student with the aim of increasing not only Polish fluency, but importantly, confidence in Polish language usage. This will not only help students in learning Polish, but will also make their course experience more enriched and enjoyable.

Students will experience the culture of Poland and local Krakow life by way of daily organised activities. This will include: trips and visits to museums and galleries, historical sites, music concerts and recitals, plays and theatre, cultural festivals and other events showcasing the rich culture and history of Krakow and Poland.

Please note that each 2-week Polish language course session can be combined. Thus, programs of Polish language study from 2 to 18 weeks duration during the summer and from 2 to 12 weeks during winter are possible.

Tuition discounts are available for our summer Polish language courses. For information on who qualifies, click here.

PRIVATE POLISH LANGUAGE COURSES:

While we put most of our efforts into providing integrated group language and tourist programs during the summer and winter months it should be noted that private, customized Polish courses are available for individuals and small groups throughout the year. We have had large numbers of professionals, private individuals and corporate clients who have benefited from our personalized, private instruction. Thus, if you plan on learning Polish, we can create a tailor made Polish language program according to your schedule and specific needs. You may choose the duration of the course, the daily hours in class, as well as the emphasis and type of Polish language intruction. For example, some may wish to perfect their Polish accent, others may wish to focus on Polish writing and compositon, while others have more technical/professional needs such as Polish for translators or business Polish. The cost of private Polish language tuition is 17 Euro per instructional hour per person (21 Euros per 2-3 people).
