3. Tandem Sky-Diving
Krakow is not only the cultural capital of Poland
but is also the centre of the nation's military airborne
training operations; indeed the red berets of the paratrooper
are a common and distinctive site on the streets of
Krakow. This strong link with the sky is a reflection
of tradition and the legacy of the 1st Independent
Polish
Airborne Brigade that fought in the famous Battle of
Arnhem in the Netherlands in 1944. Our students will
be able to experience this tradition first hand under
the capable care and expertise of sky divers and instructors
with extensive military and civilian experience. Experience
the natural thrill and exhiliration of diving out
of an aircraft from over 3000 meters! Sky-diving has
often been described as a "thrill of a lifetime".
The free fall period during sky-diving is the closest

short of going into outer-space! Thanks to recent developments
in equipment, you can experience
a breathtaking introduction to sky-diving on your
very first jump!
A specially qualified Tandem
Master Instructor will thoroughly brief you on the
equipment and the jump you are about to enjoy, without
the need for lengthy training. Specially made double-sized
canopies will give you the ride of your life! What
is more, the adjustable tandem harness allows for various
body-types (from petite to robust girths) and furthermore,
age is not a factor!. Thus, whether you are 16 or 60;

POLISH AVIATION RELATED CULTURAL AND CHARITABLE ENDEAVOURS:
As part of our mandate, the Cracovia Academy is also involved in projects of significant Polish historical and cultural importance.
Our first such project is particularly exciting as we will be working in official collaboration the with the Polish Aviation Museum Cracow (Muzeum Lotnictwa Polskiego w Krakowie) in the restoration of the Supermarine Spitfire IF Mark XVIe aircraft seen in the photograph below.

The restoration of this vintage WWII aircraft will be in honour of those thousands of Polish pilots and other members of the Polish armed services who fought and sacrificed their lives for freedom during the last World War as well as to honour all "knights of the air", regardless of nationality, who brought their skill and bravery to the skies over Europe in the 20th century. We hope that the restoration of this aircraft will act as a long standing testament to honour, freedom and bravery for generations to come.
We are also proud to announce our sponsorhip and patronage of Krakow-based WWII military aviation artist and painter, Piotr Gorka. For more information and to view the Polish aviation paintings of Mr. Gorka, click here.
